Truthlytics Welcomes Lolita Mrdanović: Investigative Journalist Dedicated to Human Rights and Geopolitical Reporting
[Zagreb, Croatia] — Truthlytics, the independent media platform championing journalistic integrity and global human rights, is proud to announce the addition of Lolita Mrdanović as its newest Investigative Journalist. Based in Zagreb and working remotely, Lolita brings over 15 years of research experience and a dynamic blend of academic expertise and frontline reporting to the Truthlytics newsroom.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago (B.A. in Psychology) and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology), Lolita combines deep analytical training with a passion for social justice. Her previous roles include Research Specialist and Research Assistant at UIC, where she conducted data analysis and participant research for large-scale academic studies.
Born to Bosnian parents who fled the war-torn region during the early 1990s, Lolita Mrdanović grew up in the United States with a deep awareness of displacement, identity, and the long shadows of conflict. Her family’s escape from Bosnia and resettlement in America instilled in her a profound commitment to justice and human dignity. This personal history continues to inform her journalism, lending empathy and urgency to her investigations into war, migration, and systemic injustice around the world.
Since February 2025, Lolita has been contributing to Truthlytics with impactful reporting on pressing issues ranging from systemic discrimination to geopolitical conflict. She also maintains a strong presence on TikTok, where she produces daily commentary focused on human rights, international relations, and Palestine—a subject she covers with nuance and urgency.
“Lolita Mrdanović represents the investigative rigor and moral clarity that Truthlytics stands for,” said Georg P. Mavridis, Editor-in-Chief of Truthlytics. “Her ability to distill complex global developments into human-centered narratives empowers our readers to engage more deeply with the issues that shape our world.”
In her new role, Lolita will continue to pursue truth in the public interest, with a special focus on underreported humanitarian crises, digital activism, and data-driven analysis. Her work will be featured across Truthlytics platforms, including the Truthlytics app, Publiccer newsletter, and community-focused channels like Telegram, TikTok (@truthlytics), and Bluesky (@truthlytics.com).
